OUR PROGRAM PILLARS

The OBA Development League was created to complete the developmental pathway for grade 9 & 10 high school student-athletes and for current OSBA member institutions.

Decentralized Model : For the junior team ONLY, Essa Prep will run a decentralized model. This means athletes can attend different high schools and play on the team. They will have 3-4 practices per week and play in the D League tournaments (approximately 5) plus (2) additional tournaments around the GTA

Student-Athletes will have supports from our Academic Advisor, Mental Health Specialist, Skill Development & Strength and Conditioning Coaches.

Academics

  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) Completion

    NCAA Eligibility
    GPA Expectations

  • Study Hall

    Designated study time daily, Tutors and extra help assigned, Individual progress reporting

  • ACT or SAT Exam Prep (Additional Cost)

  • Post Secondary Pathways Counselling

  • National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Designation
